Delete Your Account

Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.

1. Open IronSharpens and sign in
2. Go to the Account tab
3. Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account
4. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete Forever

You can also do this in a web browser at ironsharpens-tau.vercel.app — no app install needed.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you can't sign in, email us and we'll delete the account for you. Send your username and, if you registered one, the email address on the account, from that email address so we can verify it's yours.

We respond within 24–48 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request.

What gets deleted

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Everything below is erased:

• Your account — username, email address, and password
• All study progress: campaign, journey, chapters, and memorized verses
• Your battle rating, win/loss record, and tournament entries
• XP, coins, avatar items, and shop purchases
• Friends, friend requests, and direct messages
• Prayer requests, prayer journal entries, and prayer history
• Streaks, daily activity, and liked verses
• Push notification tokens and notification preferences

What is kept, and why

• Battles you played against other people. A battle is a shared record belonging to both players, so the match and its scores remain in your opponent's history — but you are no longer named in it. You appear only as "Deleted user."
• Completed tournament results. Finished tournaments keep their standings so other players' records stay intact, but your name is removed from them.
• Content moderation reports. If your content was reported by another user, that report is retained for safety and legal purposes.
• Server logs. Routine technical logs held by our hosting provider expire on their own schedule and are not linked to your profile.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not retain a backup copy of your profile after deletion.
